VDS UMLAAS EXPANDS BATTERY CHARGING FACILITY
         WITH NEW EV CHARGERS

As the demand for electric vehicles (EVs) continues to rise in South Africa, VDS Umlaas has taken a

proactive step to meet this growing market by expanding its battery charging capabilities.

The newly installed chargers feature fast-charging technology, enabling quicker and more reliable energy

replenishment for EVs arriving at the facility. This upgrade ensures that electric vehicles are efficiently charged

and ready for use, improving overall operational efficiency.

In addition to the new charging infrastructure, VDS Umlaas has established an EV repair bay within its Vehicle

Preparation Centre (VPC). This dedicated area is fully equipped with specialised tools and adheres to strict

safety protocols designed to safely handle the high-voltage nature of EV systems. The repair bay is intended
to provide comprehensive servicing and repair capabilities for electric vehicles.

Rynhardt Smit, Senior Operations Manager at VDS Umlaas, explains, “This expansion not only enhances our

operational capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to maintaining the highest quality storage and
servicing standards in the industry. By integrating these cutting-edge EV charging solutions, we continue to

set the benchmark for excellence in vehicle storage and service."

The project, managed by Daniel How, once again demonstrates our ongoing efforts to provide seamless and
efficient solutions that meet the growing needs of our clients. As leaders in the market, we are proud to be at

the forefront of this transformation, ensuring our services remain aligned with the future of electric vehicle
        logistics and storage.
